However, like any other skill, it takes practice to become skillful in creating a website. It would take more than one website to become more efficient and skillful in designing a website.
At SFO Bay Area Web Design, We are a set of professionals who have created hundreds of websites. We are very proficient in website redesign.
Redesigning the site involves the following 3 phases.
1. Gathering the requirements.
2. Finalizing a great a website redesign.
3. Redesigning the site to the client’s satisfaction.
1. Gathering The Requirements
Gathering the requirements can be done over the phone or in person. This is when the designer gets to know the client’s vision for his site. Some of the questions to ask are
* Do you have any reference site based on which the site should be redesigned?
* What changes need to happen?
* What is the timeline to complete the website redesign?
* What are the important features that need to be retained from the original site?
* What features can be removed from the original site?
* What features/options need to be added to the newly redesigned site?
* How often does the client need update on the progress?
2. Finalising On A Great Design
The designer may have to do a extensive research to come up with a good design. At SFO Bay Area Web Design, after an extensive research, we come up with three beautiful designs to show to the client. If there are more than three designs, the clients usually get overloaded with the options and get confused. Clients pick one of the best designs they like. Sometimes, clients also make some suggestions to the selected design. Or the final design could be a combination of 2 or 3 designs.
3. Designing The Site To The Client's Satisfaction
The designer gathered the requirements from the client and finalized on the design. Now, it’s time to code. The client may prefer a Web Development Platform with which he is familiar with. Or he will let the designer choose the platform the designer prefers. Once the Web Development Platform is chosen, it’s time to put the head down and start coding. This may take several days to weeks depending on the complexity of the redesign.
The designer will show his progress to the client at each milestone to get the client’s feedback. Based on his feedback, he will change or correct his code. At SFO Bay Area Web Design, we strive to give 100% of our hard work to the clients’ 100% satisfaction. We will not stop until the client is fully satisfied with the results.
